Breaking down the FLL engineering notebook to the younger students.
In GPA Robotics we do all sorts of things from First Lego League (FLL), to RC Cars, & FPV drones, as well as getting our Ham Radio Licenses, drone photography, soldering, but my personal favorites are the RC planes and the flight simulators where students can learn about the thrill of flight and explore new career options they might not have thought of!
One of my hobbies is flying RC airplanes and FPV drones.
In 2023 the robotics team got to go to the Miramar Airshow and meet with Lieutenant Colonel Luke Esposito, who was the former 2nd in command at Marine Corpse Air Station Miramar.
Through the 2025 Space Prototyping Program, in partnership with Equity Space Alliance and e3 Civic High, I was part of a 13-week journey designing a shoe for spaceflight through the Greater than Tech program. Our work will culminate in Kansas, where my team’s experiment will be tested aboard a zero-gravity flight!
The goal of this program was to create a type of footwear an astronaut could use to track vitals, as well as other essential data such as temperature orientation, G-forces, amoung other things.
Explaining our project for our team's Test Readiness Review (TRR). This was to ensure our team was ready and met standards before boarding the Zero-G flight. Our shoe design as well as our custom patch!
Getting to fly a Cessna 152 for the first time, it was so windy!
Grateful to be supported by my friends from Gompers Preparatory Academy. Some of them now go to private boarding schools: Diego (Deerfield Academy), Angel (Cardigan Mountain School), Edwin (Phillips Exeter Academy), and Eyan (Cardigan Mountain School), as my team and I presented at the San Diego Air & Space Museum.
